Harbour House is a beautiful seaside restaurant situated in Kalk Bay (there's one at the V&A Waterfront too). It has stunning views of the harbour and you are seated right above the water.
They have a very wide menu, but we fancied some sushi as a starter. (Why not?) The sushi was really amazing, although a bit pricey. We had a platter, which was R195 (see below). If you had to order off the menu, the california rolls are R69 for 8, and the salmon roses are R89 for 6.

For the mains, I picked a special they had at the time. It was called a Tian of Prawn (R95), which was tempura prawns, around an avocado stack with sweet-chilli sauce (see below).

Gary picked another special, which was the Kingklip (R175). It was served with garlic mash, green beans, rocket, salsa verde, Japanese mayo and a soft poached egg (see below).

They also have a selection of various South African Wines and cocktails to choose from. We didn't have dessert, but they do offer some amazing options, such as; the Chocolate Delice (R65), which is a soft, rich, dark chocolate dessert with a caramel centre and served with vanilla ice cream, caramel popcorn and chocolate brownie crumbs, or, a Yoghurt and Amaretto Panna Cotta (R65), which is served with seasonal fruit garnish and mini meringues. They also have a Crème Brulée, which, in my opinion, means they have a decent dessert menu.

Really enjoyed this place! Fantastic seafood with a brilliant sea view – what more could one ask for on a sunny day in Cape Town?! Other than the perfect company that is… 😉
Thanks for being my first ‘commenter’ 🙂
Love the setting but we also think that they are super pricey – especially the sushi! Gorgeous photos!
Yes, the sushi is pricey. We’re currently on the hunt for some good sushi specials…
