After our amazing night's stay and dinner at Jordan Wine Estate, we had breakfast at the Bakery. The Bakery is also situated in a stunning setting, overlooking the vineyards, mountains and dam. You can eat inside the Bakery, but I recommend sitting outside on the wooden deck so that you can take in more of the beautiful scenery.
The menu covers a good range of breakfast and lunch options, but you can also order cheese and charcuterie platters, which I'd like to try sometime.
Because we stayed the night at Jordan Wine Estate, our breakfast was included (lucky us). But I will include their prices here for you. I ordered Scrambled eggs, smoked trout and brioche (see below), which usually costs R105. It was really nice - I usually find scrambled eggs can be a bit watery, but these were great.
Gary ordered his usual of Eggs Benedict (see below), which usually costs R90. This was served with Neil Jewel's herb smoked pork loin, two poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce and sourdough bread. It was super tasty, but it had way too much Hollandaise sauce in my opinion.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. After that, I'd definitely recommend doing some wine tasting while you are there.
The views really are amazing (see below) and they offer a wide selection of wines to choose from. You can taste 3 wines for R30, or 6 wines for R50, which is refundable on a purchase of wine. They also offer cheese platters for R180 which look amazing.
