We’re super excited that the Season of Sauvignon Festival is returning to the Durbanville Wine Valley this year!
Those who visit the Durbanville Wine Valley can expect to be welcomed with warm hospitality by each of the twelve farms that make up this unique area situated on the urban edge of Cape Town, about thirty minutes from the city centre.
Warm hospitality, rich flavours, exceptional wines and engaging experiences are interwoven into the core of what the Durbanville Wine Valley is all about.
The Durbanville Wine Valley’s annual Season of Sauvignon festival will run on the 28 and 29 October.
The Durbanville Wine Valley is renowned as an excellent Sauvignon Blanc area and is one of Cape Town’s ‘must-visit’ wine destinations. I can personally say that some of my favourite Sauvignon Blancs come from this region.
The festival will once again include the participation of the region’s prestigious wine farms, offering a wide variety of festivities. Each winery has its own charm with superb entertainment for adults and children alike.
The wine estates included in the festival will be: Altydgedacht, D’Aria, Diemersdal, De Grendel, Durbanville Hills, Hillcrest, Klein Roosboom, Meerendal, Nitida, Groot Phizantekraal (newly renamed to Groot Phesantekraal) and Signal Gun. Each of these venues will be celebrating the start of white wine season in their own, individual style.
Festival-goers will be guided through the festival offering with a detailed festival program that is available on www.durbanvillewine.co.za.
You can book your festival tickets via www.webtickets.co.za, or you can buy your tickets from any of the wine farms during the festival. Take note: A separate ticket must be bought for each of the wine farms you’d like to visit. Prices range from FREE – R200 per wine farm.
(P.S. Look forward to a very exciting competition soon where I’ll be giving away 6 tickets to this awesome festival!)
